Willing to show the interest that French lawyers have for their Indian colleagues, Mr Jean Castelain, President of the Paris bar will be in India from March 3, 2011 to March 9 2011, accompanied by a delegation of members of the Bar Council. Besides representatives of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the President of the Paris Bar will meet his Indian counterparts, at the national level such as the regional level, in Delhi and in Bombay.

Mr Jean Castelain will express them the wish of the Paris Bar to establish long-lasting relations with the Indian Bars, within the framework of an agreement of cooperation.

Such an agreement would aim to facilitate and to develop exchanges between Indian and French lawyers. In Bombay, the President of the Paris bar will end this first official visit with a debate, in the presence of lawyers of Bombay and representatives of important Indian groups, on the way French and Indian business lawyers, can contribute to the intensification of the links between the Indian and French business circles.
